by emquzu on May 22, 2011

A lot of people can get frustrated when they have performed a Facebook logout but still keep getting messages about being tagged in photos and other annoying things.

So here I’m going to cover how to logout of Facebook on a semi-permanent basis.

Facebook Logout-Semi-Permanent

Facebook Logout

Step 1

Log in to your Facebook profile

Step 2

Click on the Account tab on the top right of the screen to produce the drop down box

Step 3

Click on Account settings to bring up the detailed page

Step 4

At the bottom of this page there is a tab that says Deactivate account, click on this

Step 5

Click on ‘Temporary, I’ll be back’ You can then select to not receive any emails during your Facebook logout period. Once you confirm your Facebook Logout will then be set and you won’t receive any further emails until you reactivate it.

Step 6

To reactivate your account simply log back in with you normal settings. And that’s all you need to do to setup a semi-permanent Facebook logout
